ABOUT KATIE WATTS-WHITAKER
Katie was born in San Francisco, grew up in Los Angeles, and moved back to the bay area six years ago. She holds a BA in Literature from California State University Northridge and a Theatre Degree from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Katie has spent the majority of her life in Theatre, Film and Television, production, and marketing. In 2020 she began to produce the \"Community Conversations on Race\" series on both Facebook Live and KSRO, and to date has held over 70 conversations. Katie represented CAP Sonoma at conferences in Boston, New York, and San Diego, where she held sessions on Community Conversations on Race. She is a trained Racial Healing Circle Facilitator and recently co-facilitated a circle in person at the MLTC conference in New Orleans. Katie loves theatre, photography, traveling, and spending time with her husband Dennis, and sons Soul and Lennon.Katie is the Artistic Director for Young At Heart Theatre, a nonprofit children\'s theatre company, and the co-owner of Astra Digital Marketing with her husband Dennis Whitaker.
