ABOUT KATHRYN KOCEMBA
Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I\'ve grown inspired to understand and address our legal system. As a forensic psychology student, I gained an extensive understanding of police procedures, legal frameworks, and forensic science within the justice system. My coursework has included a variety of case studies that enhanced my ability to analyze expert opinions and the psychology of defendants. Furthermore, as part of the final year of my undergraduate studies, I am currently completing an internship at Innocence Canada, where I am researching police training in relation to wrongful convictions. As I complete this internship and my undergraduate studies, I remain inspired to pursue a career in the legal field as a criminal lawyer. My professional experiences in project coordination and outreach have provided me with interpersonal and management skills. These skills are crucial for navigating client relationships, collaborating effectively with legal teams, and managing complex cases within the legal field. I look forward to leveraging these skills from my academic and professional experiences in a future role as a criminal lawyer.
