I’m Kate (Onk) Hammer, Co-Founder and CEO of DNKO, working to translate novel glioblastoma treatments into real-world medicine. My path began in tech startups and shifted through lived responsibility after losing my father to glioblastoma. I served as his healthcare power of attorney, making medical decisions alongside his clinical team in real time. Today, I apply that same decision authority and systems awareness at scale by aligning science, clinicians, and patients to move innovation toward practice without friction or excess. At DNKO, I focus on building lean, accountable pathways for drug-device combinations and clinical trial design that prioritize patient reality while preserving scientific and clinical rigor. Before DNKO, I spent over a decade leading data and analytics teams, including helping Omaze raise $115M across Series B and C. I also serve as a board member at OurBrainBank and collaborate across biotech, philanthropy, and patient communities. I believe science is a team sport, and the infrastructure to support the team is essential. My role is to connect inventors, clinicians, advocates, and patients with the structures they need to excel. Collaborators are always welcome.
