Rhode Island KIDS COUNT engages in information-based advocacy to achieve equitable public policies and programs for the improvement of children’s lives. Visit to connect with us on social + to dive into the fantastic information we offer.To improve the lives of children, you need to set concrete goals, incorporating strong, reliable data that is tracked over time. We firmly believe that to plan where you’re going, you need to know where you have been and where you are. Equity is at the center of all that we do - including disaggregating data whenever possible, incorporating community-family-youth voice, taking a stand on social justice issues (Black Lives Matter, standing with the Asian American + Pacific Islander communities, supporting the Counselors not Cops movement, speaking up for LQBTQ community, the Trauma Informed Schools Act, to name a few).I work with a fantastic team, implementing communications strategies to share our data and publications, spark conversation about the well-being of Rhode Island children and families, and develop/advocate for policies and programs that improve outcomes. Areas of focus include health, education, economic well-being, child welfare, juvenile justice, and safety.Media and public relations, project management, community outreach, event coordination, storytelling, strategic partnerships, web content management, and digital/social media - it all plays a part.
