ABOUT KATHARINE SKELLON

Storytelling is my passion, and I firmly believe that everyone has a story to tell—you just might not realise it yet. I’m a freelance multi-media journalist at Sudol Media. During a career spanning 25 years in the media industry, I spent 16 years working as a journalist on a regional daily newspaper, as well its sister weekly papers and magazines, for one of the largest regional publishers in the UK. I have written about a wide range of issues from news stories to features but particularly enjoy writing human-interest stories and life features. My work has appeared in print and online publications, including the South Wales Argus, Sunshine Radio, Business News Wales and Wales on Sunday, as well liaising with BBC Wales to secure UK-wide coverage to help raise awareness of a rare heart condition. In 2020, I teamed up with my husband Lyndon Price, a technology expert within the media industry, and launched Sudol Media –a small creative media services agency based in South-East Wales. Using our combined knowledge and skills in journalism, technology and advertising, we created a multi-platform, multi-media business that aims to help you get your message out to the people that matter. As an agency we offer a range of services- from media support, PR campaigns, press release and general writing- to social media management and website creation and support. Whether you’re a business, charity, organisation, or individual looking for media coverage but unsure where to start, I can help you identify your unique story, craft a compelling narrative, and ensure it reaches the right audience. From writing your story and arranging professional photography, to pitching it to my network of media contacts across print, radio, and online platforms, I take care of the process so you can focus on what you do best - running your business. Beyond one-off stories, I can also help you launch strategic PR campaigns, raise brand awareness, and build long-term media relationships that amplify your message and enhance your reputation.
