I am passionate about the importance of considering all aspects of a person’s health and wellbeing and understand that there can be “no health without mental health”. Some previous feedback from delegates has included: “I really learned a lot a lot from this course and feel so much more confident in approaching someone with mental ill health. The day was facilitated brilliantly and was very informative.\"\"I wanted to say a massive thank you to Kate and Shelley for delivering a really insightful one-day mental health first aid course at my work. Without making a conscious effort I seem to have changed my practice and I feel this is because I am much more equipped and knowledgable after the course. Both instructors delivered the course with patience and where appropriate, humour which kept us all very engaged.”In recognition of my leadership and service development, I was awarded runner-up in the Vocational Rehabilitation Practitioner of the Year in 2017 by the VRA, the multi-disciplinary organisation supporting all those working in vocational rehabilitation.
