I am an experienced Commercial Property Disputes Lawyer and individually ranked as a Next Generation Partner in Legal 50•••26/2025 Editions).I am recognised by Legal 500 as a leading individual and key contact for retail and infrastructure matters with particular expertise working with Councils and on landlord and tenant matters, including business rates liability.I specialise in mitigation and dispute resolution relating to contentious commercial property matters. This includes early strategic advice and managing risk at transaction stages. My work covers all aspects of general commercial property issues related to buying, selling, leasing, development and ownership of land as well as landlord and tenant disputes and portfolio asset management. This includes dilapidations, contested lease renewals, break options, disputes concerning alienation, alterations, rent and service charges, forfeiture, advising on restrictive covenants, easements, and adverse possession.I work primarily for commercial and corporate landowners, commercial landlord and tenants, property managers, investors and developers. I am experienced in handling complex property disputes and energy and infrastructure sector related work for major transport and renewables clients including Network Rail, HS1, Freightliner, British Solar Renewables, EDF Group and Tesla.I have deep knowledge of the retail sector, managing large occupational property portfolios, acting for household names including Welcome Break Group, Petrogas Group, The Arch Company, River Island, New Look and Ladbrokes Coral Group.My experience extends to complex, high profile and sensitive advisory work. I have dealt with disputes in High Court and Court of Appeal including successful injunctive relief and resolved many disputes through mediation.
