ABOUT KASASHI MUMBA
Having attended university at Manchester Metropolitan University gave mean external insight into student services. During my foundation year, I was able to interact with various staff within the Student union who supported me in developing my numeracy and literacy skills.During this time, I learnt how to find journal articles, how to articulate arguments through criticalthinking and how to use quantitative and qualitative data within essays.Thisfirst-hand experience, coupled with my customer service work experiencemakes me the ideal candidate for this role.The fast-paced environment at Assurant has taught me how to multi-task and adapt to various scenarios such as inputting data into IT Systems, asking customers leading questions, warm transferring calls toother departments and performing callbacks to update customers whilst maintaining excellent customer service.My role at TK Maxx taught me the skills necessary to interact with diversecustomer groups and build relationships by dealing with each queryempathetically. The assessment module of my degree involved quite a lot of group projectswhere I was required to work with 2-3 other students. We were expected to conduct research and present our findings in front of an audience. This experience enhanced my ability to work well within a team and take into account the opinion of others.
