I operate at the intersection of architecture, implementation and technical leadership.I lead analytical direction and standards, but I also build the critical parts myself - semantic models, decision logic and executive-level dashboards. My work typically begins where organisations already have data platforms and teams, yet decisions remain inconsistent or slow.With 20 years in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics (currently Executive Director in Institutional Technology at Morgan Stanley), I have worked across front-office domains including Equities, Fixed Income, Research and Investment Banking. My responsibility has not only been delivery, but defining how analytics should be designed, governed and trusted across teams.I frequently work on modernizing analytics and data platforms - introducing clearer modelling layers, stabilizing metrics and aligning engineering output with business decision making, including environments built on Snowflake and modern cloud data stacks.My leadership is primarily technical: establishing modelling standards, guiding engineers and analysts, reviewing designs, and intervening directly in the areas where correctness and clarity matter most.I am neither a pure manager nor a pure developer. I own architecture and personally implement the parts where performance, semantics and business meaning must be right.Typical situations I work on- metrics that differ across reports- self-service BI creating multiple versions of truth- modern data platforms without decision adoption- dashboards that exist but do not drive behaviorTechnically I work across the full analytical stack - modelling, transformation, semantic layer and visualization - using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Snowflake and Python where appropriate.
