Having successfully managed projects for NewVoiceMedia for some three years with the Global Head of Service Operations, I recruited a project manager to assist in this role and promotion.• The Ops dept is now some 28 personnel strong consisting of an Infra, Telco, Data, Monitoring, Network and Capacity teams each running with multi-skilled projects and BaU tasks that require strategic and short term project management.• NVM have made the transition to the cloud in the US and APAC. I have been key to managing costs and elements of this programme. • Having successfully project managed the move of the primary data centre and oversaw the move of the business HQ, NVM are now set for the next chapter in it’s global growth plan.• With the VP Service Ops I built and manage a budget in excess of £10 million for a global company and am instrumental in identifying operational cost savings.• The strategic direction of NVM has been a difficult boat to guide over the last few years; a lot of change and differing opinions have required careful management, and clear communication. With the technical staff, I pieced together much of the up-front investigative and financial work in these communications; and also assisted in delivering to the Exec board, working closely with the Head of Operations.• Selected as one of the Teams Top Performers was honoured to be taken on a skiing trip to Verbier; this would not have been possible without the impressive team I have around me.Achievement:Helped guide NVM to the position they are today as a global player. This has been achieved by a lean approach to working and process, and a dogged determination to succeed and bring down cost to serve. I work closely to the executive team and Head of Operations to deliver what is right for the organisation, whilst being very mindful of the teams. Having guided some of the team leads through some difficult and challenging times, our staff turnover is the lowest in the business.
