Compose and disseminate LNHA’s electronic communications not limited to weekly memos, monthly newsletters, informational e-blasts and educational materials. Communications are disseminated to the leadership of more than 250 member facilities, which care for more than residents and employ more than individuals.• Create, coordinate and manage the production of statewide and regional advertising campaigns using a variety of mediums, including traditional, online and social media• Prepare talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting material for the company spokesperson• Provide press releases on behalf of the Association and media alerts for member facilities to reporters• Work with leadership and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them• Assisted in leading an advocacy campaign through two legislative sessions on behalf of more than Louisianans urging legislators to protect Medicaid funding. Responsible for writing the following materials for members: summaries of bills impacting the profession; talking points for members and policymakers; letters to legislators; advertisements for social media; advocacy alerts for members and friends of the association and various other materials as needed. Archived all materials, letters, e-alerts and votes. • Continually enhance the company’s online presence including social media and website • Monitor state and federal legislation and regulations impacting the nursing facility profession • Attend long term care meetings and events on behalf of the association• Plan and oversee the Foundation’s fundraisers and campaigns; maintain donor relations and recommend scholarship recipients for the board’s approval
