Career: Professional AchievementKaren Dosanjh is trailblazer in the Marketing, PR & Communications industry in Canada. Throughout her remarkable 30-year career, she has overcome barriers to reach new heights in the business & tech sector. Karen is the VP, Marketing at OSI Digital & leads the global marketing strategy for the leading technology services provider. She is a force to be reckoned with in Canada’s tech sector and was instrumental in the launch of three successful start-ups in her career including Bit Stew Systems which was acquired by GE Digital in 2016. In 2023, Karen was named a Women of the Year by BC Business in the Entrepreneurial Leader category. In 2025, Karen was named a Top 20 South Asian Influencer in Vancouver.Mentorship: Advocacy for Women in BusinessHelping others rise along with her is part of Karen’s DNA and she pays it forward by helping create space for women in business in countless ways. In 2017, Karen established the first-ever GE Women’s Network in BC to help women break into careers in the business & tech industry. In October 2017, Karen partnered with former colleagues at TELUS, to launch Women in IoT: Adopters & Influencers event to inform young women about careers in the burgeoning tech space. Since 2023, she has served on the Board of Advisors and as media spokesperson for the Be the Light Society, supporting fundraising initiatives for scholarships for South Asian girls in financial need. In 2025, Karen collaborated with ICONS Magazine to launch ICONS Talk with Karen Dosanjh, a flagship speaker and mentorship forum connecting global innovators and changemakers with emerging leaders. Service: Preserving South Asian History for Future GenerationsKaren volunteered her time & talents to Author a book and Co-Produce a documentary that gives voice to the early settler migration experiences of South Asians in Canada. In May 2020, she wrote a book, Untold Stories: The South Asian Pioneer Experience in BC, which shines the light on the first wave of migrants from India to Canada in the early 1900s. In 2022, Karen partnered with SikhLens to produce a film, Hidden Histories: The Sikh Migration Path to Canada. She had an impact around the world with her book and film with releases in Canada, US, India and the UK. Karen has worked tirelessly to bring Sikh-centric stories to students who greatly benefit from culturally significant content in their classrooms. She was nominated for the Order of British Columbia in by BC school teachers for her work in preserving history for the benefit of BC’s youth.
