Over 20 years of professional and academic experience in research and international education development. Fulfilled short- and long-term assignments for Harvard University, the World Bank, UNICEF and domestic and international NGOs in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia working with ministry of education officers and grassroots organizations. Prepared reports covering specific educational issues as well as education sector overviews for African and Middle Eastern countries for the World Bank and USAID. Assisted in the planning and management of training workshops in Ghana and Thailand and research projects in Egypt, Jordan, and Ecuador. Designed and lead the implementation of two research projects in Indonesia. Direct knowledge of field-based applications of education projects in developing countries, with rigorous attention to accuracy of data and results-based management. Managed a team of 8 education specialists and officers for successful partnership development and monitoring of over 45 projects for out of school children across the globe. Currently managing the $18 million Education Cannot Wait investment for Syria.
