ABOUT RIYA MITTAL
I’m currently a junior at Michigan State University majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Health Promotion. I’m on the path to medical school with the goal of becoming an OBGYN. I’ve always been passionate about women’s health, and I’m excited to one day support, educate, and advocate for patients through every stage of life.Outside the classroom, I’m involved in leadership roles that reflect my commitment to health and service. I serve as Vice President of Health, Wellness, and Accountability for Alpha Phi, where I promote both physical and mental well being within our chapter. I’m also the Education Chair for MSU UNICEF, helping lead conversations around global health and human rights.As a member of MSU’s Osteopathic Medical Scholars Program, I’ve had the opportunity to further explore my interest in medicine through professional development and mentorship. Whether I’m working in a research lab, volunteering at a clinic, or supporting my campus community, I’m always driven by curiosity, compassion, and a desire to make a difference in people’s lives.
