I am the Branch Leader for Schnabel\'s Lakewood office. We have grown significantly since opening doors to the office in 2021 and have a diverse team with almost 20 people and still growing! We provide dam engineering services across the company that range from geotechnical engineering, dam engineering, hydraulic structures, structural engineering, PFMA/SQRA, site investigation, and hydraulic and hydrologic analyses. We also provide geohazard, site characterization, and rock mechanics expertise.I am also a Project Manager working on a variety of projects that include dam rehabilitation, risk analysis, dam construction, and design of new dams. Additionally, I provide Senior Review for geotechnical and rock mechanics analyses.

Kami has more than 20 years of experience in rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering. She has worked in all market sectors including Dams and Levees, Geotechnical, Transportation, Federal, and Energy. Her professional experience includes: project management, risk workshop subject matter expert, embankment seepage and slope stability analyses; rock slope engineering; construction observation; drilling experience using a variety of methods for a variety of project sizes; kinematic analysis and engineering design for rock slope stability; engineering design for rockfall hazards, and mitigation and design. Kami has been a project manager, field representative, analyst, reviewer, and designer for projects of varying scope and size dealing with geotechnical and rock engineering designs.
