Local Ethics Officer, Operating Unit: Worked closely with general counsel & global anti-bribery counsel. Ensured compliance with FCPA & local anti-bribery laws; implemented & governed company code training, including anti-corruption & anti-bribery measures. Defense against NGT Penalty Imposition: Successfully defended against a $2M penalty imposed by NGT for alleged illegal abstraction of ground water. Developed legal plan, engaged senior counsel & collaborated with franchise bottler to challenge NGT penalty order in Supreme Court. Launch of rPET in Bangladesh & Advocacy Work in India: Teamed up with advocacy & technical team to obtain approval from national authority in charge of food & packaging for use of recycled material (rPET) in primary food contact packaging in Bangladesh. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Drafted EPR action plan to ensure proper collection of waste plastic packaging. Led development & implementation of a legal strategy to prevent banning of PET packaging. Broadened scope of issue & mobilized business to support a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by an NGO with NGT. Successful Defense of Regulatory Action & Employment Law Guidance: Successfully defended against regulatory action that ordered food recalls on two occasions. Provided guidance on employment law issues arising from global restructuring. Assisted in smooth closure of an analytical laboratory in Pune & separation of associates from the corporate office in Gurgaon. Data Loss Prevention Program and Compliance Management: Collaborated to launch region\'s pilot Data Loss Prevention Program, ensuring data security & privacy compliance.
