I am a highly-skilled and accomplished Data Engineer with a progressive career spanning over 25 years specializing in Oracle & MSSQL, recently moving towards DevOps engineering, infrastructure engineering, cloud technologies, Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud, Business Intelligence and Data Analysis. I am passionate about continuous development and always look to utilize new technologies to enhance performance.Having worked on both a permanent and contract basis throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work on some exciting projects and initiatives where I have designed, delivered and implemented complex data solutions to improve business performance and streamline processes. This has included infrastructure and migration projects including the design and implementation of a new IT infrastructure to consolidate servers and maintain business continuity.More recently my experience has been in migrating data to the cloud, building data pipelines using ELT and Integration tools from Matillion and QLIK, and populating Data Warehouses hosted on AWS and Azure.Previously my experience was in the management, upgrade, maintenance and administration of Oracle databases and I have gained consolidated expertise in: Oracle; AWS Cloud Administration; Oracle App Installation & Administration; and Oracle Weblogic. In addition, I have hands on experience in database build and upgrade, data migration, data backup and recovery, and SQL server management.One of my core strengths is my ability to build, manage and mentor teams whilst effectively relaying complex information and project updates to managers and colleagues. I utilise Agile methodologies throughout all activities and am recognised for implementing strategies to promote best practice and performance.
