ABOUT BROGHAN COOK

As a chemical engineer, my interest in chemistry directly relates to my passion for developing solutions, which can improve our society and the lives of individuals worldwide. I believe that chemical engineering has the power to achieve a better, cleaner, healthier, and safer planet. I chose to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University because of their simple motto, “Ut Prosim,” meaning, “That I May Serve.” My passion for innovation, which can improve the quality of lives worldwide, is what makes me extremely excited to pursue a career in chemical engineering. I have interests in environmental engineering, water purification solutions, medical device engineering, and drug research, however, I am open and ready to take part in many other aspects of chemical engineering. I am excited to see where my new knowledge in the field of engineering will lead me and for the possibility of beginning my career in the engineering industry.
