ABOUT KAITLIN ROWLETT
I am a microbiologist working within the medical device industry as part of a notified body, where I conduct audits supporting ISO 13485, MDSAP, MDR, MDD, Article 120, and UKCA certification schemes for medical device manufacturers and contract sterilizers.Throughout my career, I have served as a subject matter expert in sterilization technologies including ethylene oxide (EtO), gamma irradiation, gas plasma, and moist heat. I have supported transfer and new product introduction (NPI) teams, as well as contributed to MDR and FDA 510(k) submissions as part of cross-functional new product development teams.My background also includes hands-on experience in microbiological and analytical chemistry testing, along with prior work in hospital environments and direct care settings supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. This combination has given me a strong appreciation for both regulatory rigor and real-world patient impact.Outside of work, I am a natural planner and lifelong learner—often filling my calendar with professional development workshops, events, and thoughtfully curated travel itineraries centered around unique experiences.
