As Visitor Engagement Lead at Ilkley Manor House, I create welcoming, educational, and meaningful experiences for a diverse public audience. I take ownership of opening and closing procedures, ensuring the site is presented to the highest standard for exhibitions and events. A key part of my role involves leading and mentoring volunteer teams, providing daily briefings, task coordination, and clear guidance to ensure a smooth visitor journey and consistent service delivery.I also act as a liaison between stakeholders, including artists, the Solar Gallery, and community partners, facilitating collaborative programming and event execution. In addition, I manage merchandising operations, tracking stock, quality, and revenue while curating themed family engagement activities that bring the Manor’s historical context to life. Through inclusive programming and creative interpretation, I support the Manor House’s broader mission to engage local audiences and expand community participation in heritage education.
