Operations and Facility Manager for this Top Notch Food manufacturing unit. Role include overseeing Plant operations, quality, safety and Human resource needs. Provide leadership and directions to production and quality teams. Oversee the day to day production operations to make sure production is carried out efficiently Set the production performance standards for manpower, material usage and yields. Review the attained performance standards on a monthly basis and manage corrective actions for improvements. Set up meetings to discuss performance with production staff. Manage employee performance through coaching, training and performance review. Enforces company policies, procedures among all the production employees. Make sure disciplinary actions are instituted when necessary. Seek continuous improvement wherever possible. Initiate cost saving programs, quality/ productivity improvements and reduce costs and losses. Participate in the company’s automation program; share ideas as to how processes can be automated. Participate in the process development to ensure efficient processing/production of new products and to ensure smooth transition of new products and equipment to the production line. Establish and maintain proper staffing level. Interview and hire qualified applicants and make sure they get proper orientation and training prior to deployment. Maintain food safety, sanitation and work safety.
