ABOUT KAFIL A.

I have extensive senior level experience in the digital infrastructure space, where I had the opportunity to lead a number of critical national policy and standards. I have been engaged in various initiatives that directly supported the roll-out of the compliant 4G and 5G base stations in the rail corridor. Moreover, I have extensive hands-on experience in managing complex and challenging projects based on cutting-edge technologies. I\'m a chartered engineer. I\'m the architect of IET 5G and 6G conferences in UK, led and chaired seven IET 5G and 6G conferences since 2014. Also, I chaired IET RF and Microwave Technology Professional Network and was member of various IET community leadership committees. I led many multi-million pound R&D projects, and manged large international teams on European funded projects.I have led the Rail mobile portfolio in Telecoms Services within Rail industry. My portfolio includes GSM-R RAN, Core network and FRMCS services, Satellite communication, IoT, Corporate mobile, all wireless initiatives in the Rail corridor. I\'ve led and authored railway policy, technical standards and industry consultations.I had experience in managing complex projects such as Electromagnetics software capability deployment for large OEM. I\'ve many years of hands-on experience in RF modelling- component to systems and RF propagation and network planning.
