The Route Engineering team are the \'asset stewards\', responsible for the ownership, technical assessment, building pathology, planning and development of the works, strategies, priorities and finances for maintaining the buildings. This also includes liaison with internal / external stakeholders, review and approval of works and delivering projects.I am responsible for the 3 Managed Stations in the Western Region, all extremely complex and multifaceted, with assets, tenants and operations - each effectively a full time job in its own right!Paddington is Britain\'s second busiest station and an 1850s+ Grade 1 listed station complex, including the new Elizabeth Line surface areas alongside; Reading is a mixture of the \'new\'(2015), 1980s and 1870s Grade 2 listed fabric; Bristol Temple Meads is also all Grade 1 listed, being a 1840\'s/1870\'s station complex, with substantial 1930\'s sections, brand new Eastern Entrance and interfaces undergoing development for new parts of the Station with the Bristol Temple Quarter development.I am also involved with the design and acceptance of the conventional rail (GWML) part of the planned Old Oak Common HS2 interchange station.Our Safety Vision - Everyone home safe, every day.
