ABOUT JULIANA OLIVEIRA
Juliana Oliveira holds a degree in Social Communications, Media, and Advertising. For more than 10 years, she worked in advertising agencies as an Account Manager, until she transitioned to the world of technology and people management. As a Recruiting Leader, she discovered how to positively impact people and businesses through more collaborative, fair, and inclusive processes.In 2018, Juliana led Brazil’s first affirmative hiring process for Black professionals in tech, called Enegrecer a Tecnologia (“Make Tech Blacker”). This initiative received national coverage in the Brazilian press for its pioneering and transformative approach. Watch the video case here: 2021, she headed Thoughtworks University Brasil (TWU Brasil), an immersive program designed to support young Black talent and career changers entering the tech field, with a special focus on gender equality.In recognition of her leadership and advocacy in technology and inclusion, Juliana was featured in “Voices in the Shadow – Volume 5” (2025) by GTA Black Women in Tech, which celebrates 51 Black women shaping the future of tech and leadership globally.She currently serves as a Global Lead Program Manager at Thoughtworks, where she is responsible for industry capability building and global learning initiatives.Additionally, Juliana is a guest speaker at leadership, innovation, and inclusive culture courses in Brazil and Portugal, as well as at international tech and DE & I events. She is also a volunteer for Black in Tech Berlin - a community supporting Black professionals in the tech ecosystem.In all of her roles, Juliana is committed to creating meaningful and inclusive experiences that help people see themselves as powerful agents of change in the spaces they occupy.
