Just started a new position at GitHub as a Customer Reliability Engineer I spent 3 years at GitLab as a Support Engineer- Using Zendesk to answer tickets from GitLab SaaS, self-managed or Dedicated customers- Reviewing logs to track down issues for customers- Advocating for the customer in the form of feature requests, bug reports and the like- Doing an on-call rotation for 42 hours every 7 weeks, to assist customers with emergencies (site down, failed upgrades, etc)- Participating in the upgrades knowledge group (pod) to better assist my fellow Support Engineers with issues customers may experience while upgrading their instances of GitLabMy past positions include- Customer Support Specialist/Technical Account Manager at SkyVerge and then GoDaddy: worked to support more than 60 plugins built for WooCommerce, as well as the Managed WordPress product while at GoDaddy- Head of Customer Success at Vanilla Forums: hired, onboarded, trained and supported my team, while working on and documenting processes. Client portfolio included Electronic Arts, SEGA, Adobe, My Fitness Pal (Under Armour), Oculus, Plex, AgileBits (1Password) and more- Chatting Online Guide at About.com: hosted the most popular chatrooms on the About.com network, wrote articles on a regular basis about chatting online, sent out a regular newsletter to over subscribers, consistently ranked in the top 10% of all About.com sites in terms of traffic from ~June 1998-September 2001.
