Julie J. Gresham is Vice President and Chief Counsel at Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII. HII designs, builds and maintains nuclear and non-nuclear ships for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard and provides after-market services for military ships around the globe.Prior to joining HII, Julie was a partner with the Brunini Law Firm, where she practiced in the firm’s Mississippi Gulf Coast office. Julie received her B.A. in Speech Communication, Highest Honors, from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she was Student Body President. She received her J.D, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2001, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Mississippi Law Journal. Julie is included in the “Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers,” which is published by Martindale-Hubbell. She also holds an “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Julie has been recognized by “Best Lawyers in America” in the field of Commercial Litigation and Construction Litigation and by “Super Lawyers” for Business Litigation.Prior to joining HII, Julie also worked as a communication consultant with Communication Counsel of America, Inc.(“CCA”). Through her work with CCA, Julie prepared witnesses for Congressional hearings and worked with companies to develop crisis communication plans. She also worked with utility companies in various states preparing witnesses for rate-increase cases pending before the Public Service Commission or the respective state’s equivalent governmental authority.
