ABOUT JULIAN M. ANDRADE
Julian is a California licensed architect and Principal at NORR with 25 years of experience shaping projects that range from state legislative buildings and emergency operations centers to sacred spaces and adaptive-reuse housing. He leads NORR’s Public Buildings and Justice sectors in the United States, guiding projects that strengthen civic infrastructure and serve communities nationwide. In the past five years alone, Julian has led over one million square feet of new construction and renovations, delivering more than $800 million in projects. Julian currently serves as the President of the AIA Central Valley Chapter and is a former Planning and Design Commissioner for the City of Sacramento, roles that reflect his commitment to advancing the profession and shaping the built environment at a regional level. A U.S. Army veteran, he brings discipline, focus, and a collaborative spirit to every challenge, whether guiding complex public sector work, mentoring the next generation of architects, or exploring new ways to integrate design, construction, and technology. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer, musician, traveler, and lifelong learner who is always studying how cities grow, adapt, and inspire.
