ABOUT JULIA GRAESER MATA
I am an environmental lawyer in the best boutique environmental law firm in San Francisco (no bias of course!). I advise and defend clients in all types of disputes with some nexus to the environment, including environmental enforcement, contract claims, complex tort matters, product liability, Proposition 65, and groundwater contamination cases.While I love the rush and pressure of litigation, I especially love advising clients on tricky compliance questions and partnering with them to solve tough problems. I am a total geek for solid and hazardous waste regulations, safe storage of oil and hazardous materials, etc. Boring as those regulations may seem, they have a huge impact on the environment and my clients\' businesses! I most often represent clients in defense of claims brought against them, but I have also represented large companies and individuals as plaintiffs in cases ranging from tort and fraud claims to constitutional challenges of local ordinances. My clients include energy companies, transportation companies, property owners, and manufacturers and distributors of consumer and chemical products. I have also represented low-income clients as part of the Federal Pro Bono Project and the San Francisco Bar Association’s Justice & Diversity Center.I love what I do, and am truly blessed to be doing it.
