ABOUT MEGAN MORGAN

I have extensive experience leading trial and compliance teams nationwide. My business background (I hold an MBA and JD), allows me to provide my clients with a unique perspective on regulatory and adversarial issues. Recent recognitions include the highly competitive Law360 Rising Star (Environmental) for 2024, and Waste360\'s 40 Under 40 for 2025. I have successfully first-chaired numerous evidentiary trials before administrative bodies and in federal court. My experience includes securing a favorable ruling striking down over $200 million in illegal and unconstitutional permit fees in California state court (earning my team Runner-Up for Litigator of the Week by American Lawyer), and leading litigation teams before the South Coast Air Quality Management District. I defend clients in a broad range of litigation including enforcement actions, citizen suits, class and mass actions, and environmental and toxic tort litigation. I represent clients in many industries, and have significant experience supporting the solid waste industry. I am also a co-chair of my firm\'s ESG & Sustainability group. My ESG practice is global and covers a range of issues including corporate governance, supply chain due diligence, voluntary disclosures, goalsetting, responsible sourcing, and human rights and labor issues in corporate operations and supply chains. I routinely advises on the U.S. SEC conflict minerals rule, modern slavery reporting requirements around the world, emerging ESG legislation such as the California Climate Disclosure Laws, and emerging supply chain due diligence, forced labor, and climate disclosure reporting requirements in the European Union.
