A primary component of Mr. Ostertag’s practice involves advising German corporate clients and highly invested individuals regarding their commercial transactions and investments in the United States.Mr. Ostertag has developed extensive experience in cross-border transactions as a result of practicing law in the United States and in Germany. In addition to advising European companies on direct investments, strategic alliances, and various merger and acquisition transactions in the United States, he counsels United States clients on their commercial activities in Germany, taking into consideration the laws of the European Union and Germany. Mr. Ostertag’s practice also encompasses commercial advice in international and domestic sales and distribution matters in a broad range of industries.Mr. Ostertag completed his German legal studies at the Eberhard-Karls University of Tuebingen, and received his Juris Doctor in 1993, cum laude from New England School of Law, Boston. He is a member of the American Bar Association and its International Section, the International Bar Association, and the Deutscher Anwaltsverein. Mr. Ostertag is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, the United States Supreme Court Bar, and the New York Bar.
