Destination Plymouth is a public-private partnership operating under the framework of Plymouth City Council. Our primary focus is driving the city’s ten-year Visitor Economy Plan to deliver sustainable economic growth. Project Management- Leading two high-profile projects: Britain’s Ocean City brand refresh and the South West Visitor Economy Hub- Britain’s Ocean City Brand Refresh: Spearheading the project within a complex multi-stakeholder environment, collaborating with external consultants, local partners, and community groups. The initiative focuses on redefining Plymouth’s narrative to support job creation, attract new residents and students, foster community pride, and strengthen the city’s national and international reputation- South West Visitor Economy Hub: Managing an innovative, data-driven platform offering real-time intelligence to the region’s tourism and hospitality sectors. Overseeing grant claims in alignment with forecasts and budgets under £1 million, alongside managing timelines, action logs, risk registers, and preparing board presentations. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement- Support the Skills & Employability steering group meeting at Skills Launch Pad, Devon & Partners LVEP Advisory Board and Steering group meetings, Plymouth City Council Destinations Operation’s Group meeting and Destination Plymouth’s Board meetings, by coordinating all logistics for meetings, encompassing scheduling, agenda development, minute documentation, and the management of action logs and risk registers.Staff and HR Management- Overseeing onboarding processes for new team members, ensuring compliance with training requirements, and fostering a productive and supportive work environment.
