I am a data scientist that is passionate about sports and technology currently working with the Boston Bruins. Graduating from Queen’s University with a doctorate in statistics focusing on signal detection for time series, I began my career in data science with Apple Maps. I enjoyed 3 years working on first of its kind technology at Apple including indoor mapping, real-time transit systems and autonomous navigation. After my time with Apple, I was lucky enough to turn a passion into profession and be hired as the primary data scientist with the Boston Bruins. With the Bruins I work on a broad range of on-ice impacting areas from drafting to player rehabilitation. In my spare time I am passionate about board game design, audio engineering and data visualization.I am fortunate for the opportunities afforded to me through my education and career. It is my desire to pass this fortune into others from more marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds. To do so, I organize and participate in mentorship programs, as well as donate my time in other capacities.
