Josh co-founded Alpenglow Rail on January 1, 2016. Shortly after, Alpenglow successfully partnered with Stonecourt Capital and Blackrock securing funding to buy and build a portfolio of rail and rail related assets across North America. Alpenglow closed on its first acquisition, VIP Rail in July 2017. After significant growth with Stonecourt and Blackrock, Alpenglow sold its portfolio to and partnered with CC & L Infrastructure in September 2019. CC & L is a long-term infrastructure investor that manages projects valued in excess of $7bn, and is part of the broader Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group, which manages assets in excess of $100bn. After three key acquisitions in partnership with CC & L, Alpenglow now owns and operates six rail businesses in Canada and the U.S. Gulf Coast, switches over carloads per year, provides over railcar storage spots, and offers transload and railcar cleaning services to a diverse blue-chip customer base. Josh is responsible for strategic planning, business development, commercial sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions, union negotiations, capital management and approvals, board of director meeting presentation and reporting, and general management and leadership for the company.
