ABOUT JOSH MARTIN
I am a Junior at the University of Oregon, pursuing a Bachelor\'s degree in Economics with a minor in Math. I have a passion for Commercial Real Estate, Data Analytics, Monetary Policy and Finance, and I am eager to learn and take on new challenges. I recently completed a four-month internship with Sortis Holdings, a leading real estate investment firm based in Portland, Oregon, where I supported the data analysis, underwriting, and modeling of various hotel projects. I also gained valuable experience in the Accounts Receivable section of the accounting department. I am currently a member of the University of Oregon Real Estate Investment Group, where I collaborate with other students and faculty to conduct market research, evaluate properties, and present investment proposals. Currently, I am excelling my skills in Economic Forecasting based off of monetary policy. I recently just completed a projected forecasting job growth in the upcoming March based off of total nonfarm payrolls data. I have fallen in love with economic forecasting based off of monetary policy because it reflects towards the Macroeconomy which can impact many different investments.
