ABOUT JOSÉ VISO

I’m a Staff Product Designer at Snowplow, where I tackle complex problems using a user-centered and problem-solving approach. I work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions and meaningful learnings.Previously, I was at Matillion, where I deepened my understanding of the data space. Before that, I worked at ix3 (now Aize) and Petrotechnics (acquired by Sphera), where I built a strong foundation in solving complex challenges in hazardous industries and learned how to advocate for UX within an organisation.Earlier in my career, I worked in Spain and the Netherlands as a Software Developer for clients ranging from banks to airports, until I discovered that there’s a whole discipline dedicated to what I truly love doing.I’m passionate about creating things that \"just work\" and constantly seek to grow by learning across different domains. While I enjoy all aspects of my role, I’m especially interested in design strategy, setting direction, aligning teams, and shaping product vision through a design lens.I hold a UX Certification from the Nielsen Norman Group, a Specialisation in Interaction Design and Usability from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the Universidad de Almería.I also spent several years as a Community Teaching Assistant for the Human-Computer Interaction course on Coursera, offered by the University of California, San Diego.
