ABOUT JOSEPH A. REPPERT
I am a seven-time Chief Financial Officer who combines technical accounting and healthcare operations acumen to accelerate performance of multi-facility health systems, community hospitals and ambulatory centers nationwide. Throughout my 20-year career, I have consistently optimized financial results, strengthened balance sheets and implemented industry-leading revenue cycle management practices. I am accomplished in the full range of healthcare financial leadership—from M & As and capital markets to managed care contracting, cash/equity portfolio management and rating agency relations. I have structured numerous strategic affiliations worth a combined $2.5B and orchestrated successful financial turnarounds. Most recently, I served as CFO of Adventist Health, a $4.5B integrated health system providing care to 75+ communities on the West Coast and in Hawaii in 20 hospitals and 280 clinics, as well as home care agencies, hospice programs and retirement centers. I was promoted in early 2018, following a two-year stint as CFO of Adventist Health’s Northern California Region. In that role, I negotiated a joint operating agreement with a competing health system that generated $1.2B in incremental net revenue and produced $5M annual gain by optimizing Medicare reimbursement. In 2016, I was named one of the nation’s “top 150 CFOs” by Becker’s Hospital Review after I helped lead a team at Tupelo-based North Mississippi Health Services to twice win the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. My accomplishments at the nine-hospital organization ($1B in annual net revenue) include maintaining a AA bond rating over seven years and negotiating three profitable system-physician joint ventures. Previously, I held CFO positions at Good Shepherd Health System in Longview, Texas and Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston. I began my career as a healthcare consultant with Ernst & Young.
