When I help a local bakery increase their online sales or guide a creator to launch their first product, I\'m not just solving a support ticket. ABOUT JOSÉE DEBOER
For most of my life, I’ve been enthralled by how people build (their businesses, homes, and lives), and I’ve experienced first-hand what happens when those things are built out of misalignment.Having started my career in SaaS, I worked with fast-growing businesses learning to scale. It was an incredibly exciting chapter filled with so much growth which ultimately led to my dream role. A few years later though, burnout forced me to slow down and step away from work entirely for some time. That pause gave me the space to rethink not just my career, but the very foundations on which I wanted to build my life.A couple of years after stepping away, my partner and I placed our biggest bet yet; an off-grid lakefront investment property development project. Building in alignment with our values, without shortcuts, utilities, or a clear roadmap, has been one of my greatest teachers in patience, intention, and resilience.Today, I’m back at Shopify supporting small and early-stage entrepreneurs as they get started in building their dreams. I’m most passionate about helping people turn ideas into something real, practical, and sustainable, especially when it helps them create more freedom and meaning in their lives.Though my path has strayed from the “traditional”, the theme has stayed the same: building with intention, and choosing growth that feels sustainable and true.
