ABOUT JORDI RASO QUINTANA
My experience started at CLABSA, designing new solutions to reduce floods in Barcelona in 1992, based on mathematical modeling.In 1997 I participated in an european project with DHI and WRc, a new approach to improve beaches water quality in the City. That year, the Master Drainage Plan was finished and all Barcelona sewer network was modelled.That model was used in for the revision of Bathing Waters Directive together with WRc.In 2001 I started to work for TYPSA, participating in the Metropolitan Area Master Drainage and Catalan river flooding Plans.As a team leader in TYPSA, I specialized on Information systems, data science and remote sensing. I used my data science knowledge & interest to solve a wide range of problems, from risk management or engineering solutions, to EU policy support.In 2013 I decided to follow my passion for Data Science, gaining more in-depth knowledge on Machine Learning analytics and Big Data.Finally I\'ve found a job to develop my passion for data science in general, always focussed on value creation and society benefit, while I\'m continue studying as much as I can to improve my skills on this field.
