ABOUT JORDAN PATEL

I’m building Art Quarter in Digbeth and shaping Birmingham into the UK’s leading creator economy city.I grew up here and I love it. I’ve spent years seeing how much diverse talent this city has, especially in working-class and marginalised communities who rarely get a fair shot in the creative world. Everything I’m building is to change that narrative. Art Quarter is a lifestyle complex and a live location-based content hub. We merge physical space with digital storytelling so creators can learn, make, test and grow in one ecosystem. There is no gatekeeping here and no more closed doors or smoke and mirrors. It’s time for clarity and positive change. Our next chapter is Art.Box 2.0 on Meriden Street, Digbeth. A modular immersive space, Theatre and content lab developed with global creative partners. I We’ve launched the UK’s first content creator training programme for NEET and overlooked communities with Industry workshops led by the platforms themselves, YouTube and TikTok etc The real pathways into production, social content and paid work.We’re also building a live dashboard, a world-first tracking my content performance in real time so anyone can study, learn, and build their own strategy. Open data, open access, open pathways.My work now sits across culture, enterprise, community, and policy.I collaborate with universities, funders, local and central government and world-class creative partners like TAIT. My goal is simple to make sure the next generation doesn’t have to go through what I did. To leave Birmingham to be seen, heard and be taken seriously. This is my life’s work, my mission and calling.
