At Interzero, I work at the intersection of sustainability, packaging design, and circular economy. My focus lies in assessing and improving the recyclability of packaging for a wide range of industries.Key responsibilities include- Conducting detailed analyses of packaging materials to evaluate their recyclability according to current national and international standards (German Minimum Standard, Recyclass, Bifa Evaluation Method)- Advising companies on recyclable packaging design, material selection and runability in compliance with legislation such as the German Packaging Act (VerpackG) and the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)- Speaking at conferences, organising and running workshops and webinars on topics including recyclability, waste management, and Design for Recycling (D4R) of packaging, both in Germany and internationally- Supporting businesses in aligning their packaging strategies with circular economy principles and helping them meet increasing regulatory and environmental requirements.My work contributes directly to reducing packaging waste, promoting circular material flows, and enabling companies to move toward more sustainable and legally compliant packaging solutions.
