WORK HISTORY
Account Director @Amey
Accountable for leading a multi-discipline rail projects delivery team of over 300 staff, with a P&L Account of circa £150m turnover a year. Current key contracts include the Transpennine Route Upgrade West Alliance which is delivering works from Manchester to Leeds as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade Programme.• On joining Amey Rail in 2017 I was tasked with building a brand-new Account in the North West. Over the last 6 years I have built a high performing multi-disciplinary rail delivery account that has industry leading safety performance, exceeded turnover and margin targets, and continues to deliver successfully against the client\'s strategic milestones. • On TRU if we do not make significant step changes to safety there will be 50 major injuries by its completion based on a standard accident frequency ratio. I personally find this unacceptable and I am leading the team in implementing the step changes required so that we can truly achieve Everyone Home Safe Every Day. One of these initiatives has been championing the development and role out a new Behavioural Safety Training programme called TRUST which is already providing industry leading in changing safety behaviours. • As Charted Fellow of the Association for Project Management I strive to support the industry in the development of project management skills. I currently undertake roles to coach and mentor individuals through their professional development for both the APM and engineering professional bodies. I am one APM’s Assessors for the Project Professional Qualification. I represent for all of Amey Rail and Amey Highways on the Amey Group Wide Project Management Forum that seeks to continually develop and improve Amey’s project management capabilities.
