ABOUT JON STOKOE

An NCTJ-trained journalist, I spent nearly 30 years in the publishing industry, working on a number of newspaper and magazine titles. Among those roles, I\'m proud to have been editor of my home town newspaper, the Whitby Gazette, as well as Yorkshire\'s most-read magazine, The Dalesman. Latterly, I had the chance to be Newsquest\'s Yorkshire weeklies editor - where I oversaw the Craven Herald & Pioneer, the Gazette & Herald, the Ilkley Gazette, the Keighley News and the Wharfedale Observer. But aged 49 I wanted a change, a fresh challenge, hopefully something which could utilise my communication skills. That challenge has seen me take up the role of Clarity Business Travel\'s communications manager. and I\'m loving every minute of it.
