ABOUT JON LOZARITA

Jon is the Controller for the American Nurses Association. He joined ANA with years of for profit and nonprofit accounting and audit experience here in the USA and abroad. Jon has various audit and accounting experience servicing a variety of industries including manufacturing, wholesale and disctribution, retail and trading, automobile dealership, new market tax credit, real estate private equity funds, nonprofit associations, foundations and charitable organizations, including those subject to the requirements of a Single Audit (OMB A-133). Jon started his career as a certified public accountant in the Philippines at Sycip Gorres Velayo & Co.(SGV, a member practice of Ernst & Young Global). He was also an audit training facilitator teaching junior audit staff the firm\'s audit methodology. Jon also participated in the E&Y Resource Sharing Program where he was assigned to the E&Y London Office. Prior to his controller position, Jon managed audits of not-for-profit and for-profit clients. In this role, he managed the integrated financial statement audits and was responsible with overseeing the audit fieldwork and assist client with the SEC filing of the 10Q and 10K as well as designing, performing internal control test and assessing results of internal control testing as required for in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Jon graduated from The University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
