Following an internal restructure and appointment to a Senior Category Manager role, I initially managed a team of Procurement Professionals in a category structure, focussing on FM, Property & Estates, including Capital Works, across both Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire County Councils as part of LGSS - Local Government Shared Services. This was expanded in March 2018 to cover all \"Place\" requirements including Highways, Transports and Waste across all 3 LGSS Partners - Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire County Councils and Milton Keynes Council.Achievements include:* substantial savings on Capital and Minor Works exercises * leading the team through a period of change and ensuring stakeholders remain satisfied and engaged * securing a large number of external income opportunities from other public sector bodies * remodelling of the Procurement strategy to position LGSS as the leading and trusted provider of Public Sector Shared Services - By the Public Sector, For The Public Sector.

Engagement with 3rd sector and SMEs to educate them on sourcing opportunities and bidding for contracts.Specific category management expertise in Facilities Management, Property and Place related contracts, but direct experience in procuring a wide range of goods and services in the wider \"Place\" environment.
