As a member of the senior leadership team for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), work collaboratively with the Associate Vice-Chancellor/CIO, the Assistant Vice-Chancellor/CTO, and other directors to establish an operational strategic plan, direction via budget and staff allocations, and directing the business operations of the UT System OCIO Group.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Direct and oversee short-term and long term budget preparation, financial reporting, and fiscal operations including planning expenditure of annual budget comprised of multiple sources of funding from the State and local funding. Prepare and present financial analysis related to operations. Support AVC/CIO on financial matters related to OCIO units. Establish and document operating policies and procedures. Authorize expenditures of funds on all SIS units. Serve as a fiscal officer on all OCIO accounts. Reconcile, audit and validate activity on all accounts. Negotiate and authorize contract terms and conditions. Coordinate and manage the procurement process, with responsibility for overseeing requisitioning projects, equipment, and credit card purchases, and daily operations. Oversee all Human Resource related processes for the OCIO including recruiting, hiring, evaluations and disciplinary actions. Lead effective and efficient business operations including legal requests, asset control, and internal/external audit requests.
