ABOUT JOHN ESCOTO
As a mechanical engineer, I am passionate about design, innovation, learning how things work, and solving problems. I thrive on challenges, fast paced work environments, opportunities to continue learning and growing. I like to say I am a mechanic first and engineer second because I grew up working on all things mechanical learning how they work, fixing them, and/or improving them. I don’t mind working with my hands and getting dirty but I also love doing all the work of engineering. I have a background in structural analysis, FEA simulations, fabrication drawings, and design documentation. I am currently a mechanical engineer at Gulf Crane Services, a leading provider of crane services and solutions for the oil and gas industry. In my current role, I design and conduct structural analysis of various types of cranes, using SolidWorks, RISA, Mathcad, and hand calculations. I generate detailed fabrication drawings and assembly drawings using SolidWorks, and I prepare design books using Mathcad. I also implement RISA software for stress analysis, enhancing the accuracy of structural assessments. I have successfully completed multiple projects for clients delivering high-quality designs that meet their requirements and expectations.I enjoy working with a diverse and collaborative team of engineers, technicians, and manufacturers, and I always seek to learn new skills and technologies to enhance my performance and contribution.
