ABOUT JOHN P. LACEY

For nearly 30 years as a partner at Connell Foley, I have represented companies, executives and government officials in high-stakes litigation and in investigations conducted by federal and state agencies. As a former federal prosecutor, I also have personally conducted and overseen numerous internal investigations and handled crisis management for many corporate clients faced with urgent legal and business issues. My clients include some of the largest private and public employers in the state of New Jersey, as well as their executives. My work on behalf of clients ranges from representing health care clients, securities firms and other corporations in highly complex civil, administrative and criminal matters in New York and New Jersey, to conducting internal investigations for our corporate clients in matters involving employee misconduct. Most recently, I was honored that the Governor of New Jersey appointed me Commissioner of the State Commission of Investigation, the agency tasked with investigating organized crime in New Jersey, as well as waste, fraud and mismanagement within state government -COMMERCIAL/CORPORATE LITIGATION-Represents clients in all facets of litigation in federal and state courts in New York and New Jersey-INTERNAL INVESTIGATIONS-Conducts highly confidential investigations for corporations, non-profit health care systems, universities, government agencies and professional firms where employee or vendor misconduct is suspected; Recommends remedial actions as needed -WHITE COLLAR GOVERNMENT INVESTIGATIONS/PROSECUTIONS-Coordinates responses to subpoenas and defends corporations and executives in investigations and prosecutions -CRISIS MANAGEMENT-Serves as a trusted legal consultant in all types of crisis management; coordinates crisis response team BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION-Currently Serving as Commissioner of the New Jersey State Commissioner of Investigation -Former Federal Prosecutor -Past President of 800-Member Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey -Fellow of the American Bar Foundation -Former Federal Law Clerk, S.D.N.Y-Listed in \"Super Lawyers\",\"Best Lawyers\" and Chambers for Commercial Litigation or White Collar Criminal Defense -Guest Television Commentator -Admitted to New York and New Jersey Bars
