Funeral Director of Perry & Phillips Funeral Directors, based in Shropshire. Funeral Industry Advisor at Child Bereavement UK, a leading charity that supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.I am a Past President of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), the largest trade association for the funeral sector in the UK, representing more than funeral homes and 80% of all UK funerals. As a President, I led by advocating for the interests and needs of funeral directors and bereaved families. I am also an NAFD Approved Tutor, delivering high-quality training and education to funeral professionals and private companies.Additionally, I am a passionate campaigner for bereavement awareness to be taught mandatory in schools which was debated in parliament in December 2024 following a petition I launched in October 2022. I am also very proud to host the podcast ‘Death: A Changing Industry’, where we discuss the latest trends, innovations and experiences around end of life, grief and living.Co-Author of ‘Don’t Tell The Children’ empowering society to talk about death, grief and funerals.
