ABOUT JOHAN ENGSTRÖM

Alongside my entrepreneurial and tireless self-starter personality, I bring almost a decade of management experience in the Scandinavian online auction house industry. As a member of the board and the management team, I played an important role in shaping Sweden’s leading online auction platform for second-hand valuables, together with my skilled 60 person team. I managed initiatives within i.e. digital transformation, supply chain management, international expansion, in cooperation with a variety of external partners.For the last four years, I have been running my own start-up in Stockholm and Berlin, offering a range of digital services, including an aggregator for high-end objects, a valuation service for the resale market, and affiliate marketing programs for brands. Our latest initiative is a buy and sell community on Facebook: “Lyxloppis” (“The Luxury Flea-market”) which has grown to become Sweden’s biggest curated buy & sell community for second-hand luxury items, reaching members and around 350 daily user-generated posts. As the COO of a rapidly growing e-commerce organization, I became accustomed to people operations, organizational strategy work and change management, while my startup journey, including failures and successes, has given me a thicker skin a real doer mindset. Recently I have also started putting my experience into good use by advising early- and growth-stage startups.
