ABOUT JOEL LAMB

As a Quality Assurance Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the utilities industry, I lead a team of highly skilled QA professionals to achieve desired results. Self-motivated and people-oriented, I provide leadership, direction, and overall management for Duke Energy’s Project Management and Construction (PMC) Quality Assurance (QA) function.In my role, I am responsible for leading, planning, organizing, scheduling, implementing, collaborating, and setting goals for all QA/QC activities. I support all levels of PMC, Supply Chain, and Operations (as needed) with QA/QC leadership, technical assistance, contract development, contractor pre-qualification, and all quality-related processes and procedures. My responsibilities also include managing our audit program, compliance assessments, quality improvements, and lessons learned activities.I have experience managing and providing quality oversight for large, complex utility-scale projects, including:• Overseeing QA for large-scale gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.• Leading quality assurance for over 1GW of solar projects, contributing to sustainable energy development.• Managing QA for more than 50MWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, enhancing grid reliability and efficiency.• Experience with hydro projects focusing on dam stability and related ESSI (Earth Structure Stability Integrity) aspects, including the installation of a Fish Passage, Obermeyer Gates, and Hydroplus Fusegates to enhance safety and environmental sustainability.• Providing supplier oversight direction and managing third-party quality assurance activities to maintain high standards across the supply chain.Through collaboration and discipline, I aim to deliver results with integrity and purpose, ensuring that every project meets the highest quality standards and contributes to Duke Energy’s mission of providing reliable and sustainable energy.
